Dunhuang

Dunhuang-Mogao-Grottoes
Mogao Grottoes commonly known as Thousand-Buddha Cave is located 25 kilometers southeast of Dunhuang city in Gansu province. It strategically located at a religious and cultural crossroads on the Silk Road.
Dunhuang-Echoing-Sand-Mountain
Echoing-Sand Mountain (Mingsha Shan) is five kilometers (about three miles) south of the city Dunhuang. Made of sands, this mountain has a length of 40 kilometers, a width of 20 kilometers. There is Crescent so called because of its shape.
Dunhuang-Crescent-Lake
About 6 kilometers (3.73 miles) south of Dunhuang city, and surrounded by the Echoing-Sand Mountain, Crescent Lake (Yueyaquan) is a wonder in the Gobi Desert. It was named Crescent Lake since Qing Dynasty.
Yumenguan-Pass
Yumenguan Pass which literally means Jade Gate Pass is one of the pass which located to the west of Dunhuang, Gansu Province. Yumenguan Pass was one of the pass along Silk Road which connected western frontier to the Han Dynasty.
Hecang-Fortress
Hecang Fortress which also named as Square City is located 20 kilometers to the east of Yumenguan Pass as well as 60 kilometers away from Dunhuang City in the Gobi Desert.
Great-Wall-of-Han-Dynasty
The Great Wall of Han Dynasty in Dunhuang is differing from the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty as the wall was built in Han Dynasty, which was constructed more than 1000 years prior to the Ming's Great Wall.
