Lhasa

Lhasa-Nietang-Buddha
Named after Mt. Nietang 40 km (24.85 miles) southwest of Lhasa city, Nietang Buddha is the biggest stone statue engraved on a cliff in Tibet.
Lhasa-Potala-Palace
Lhasa means "holy land" in Tibetan language. Lots of Tibetan people and visitors from home and abroad are attracted mostly because of Podala Palace and Johkang Temple, and the Buddhist rings of the brilliant golden roofs on them.
Lhasa-Jokhang-Monastery
Built in the 7th century the Jokhang Monastery was renovated and expanded several times and has formed a 4-storey large complex.
Lhasa-Barkhor-Street
The Tibet Autonomous Region has renovated Barkhor Street, a bustling religious, tourist and commercial centre in Lhasa, to transform it into a historical site. The renovation project cost 37.6 million Chinese Yuan.
Tibet-Carpet-Factory
The designs of the Tibet carpet are basically still remained a very strong sense of historical influences as most of the motifs or graphics that appear on the Tibet carpet is still maintaining its original traditional styles.
Sera-Monastery
Sera Monastery which located about two kilometers to the north of Lhasa is one of the Three Greatest Monasteries in Lhasa together with Ganden Monastery and Drepung Monastery.
Norbulingka
Norbulingka which located at the western suburb of Lhasa is one of the National Keyed Conservation Units. Established in the 40s of 18th century, it used to be a summer residence of Dalai Lama since the reign of the Eighth Dalai Lama.
Tibet-Museum
The Tibet Museum was officially inaugurated in October of 1999, with a permanent collection that celebrates the History of Tibetan Culture.
Mentsekhang-Tibetan-Traditional-Hospital
Mentsekhang which literally named as Tibetan Traditional Hospital in English was established in year 1916 by the Thirteenth Dalai Lama. It used to be a regional government teaching venue in which Tibetan doctors and astronomers were trained.
Drepung-Monastery
Drepung Monastery located at the foot of Mount Gaphel about five kilometers from the western suburb of Lhasa is one of the most important monastery of Gelugpa of Tibetan Buddhism.
