Jingkelong Supermarket is one of the largest Beijing local retail chain stores. It is widely distributed in different corners of Beijing and boasts the most Beijing local customers.
The predecessor of Beijing Jingkelong Company Limited was a state-owned enterprise. It was transformed into a joint stock company in November 2004 and successfully listed on the Growth Enterprise Market of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited on 25 September 2006.
Beijing Jingkelong Company Limited has developed its number of retail outlets from 7 at the initial stage to 175 at 30 June 2007 with net operating area of approximately 160,000 square metres, spreading 13 districts and counties of Beijing City and Hebei Langfang. The Company currently has approximately 4,100 employees. The self-constructed dry product logistics centre and live and fresh produce logistics centre establishes solid foundation for the rapid development of the Company.
Relying on the superiority of Jingkelong brandname, the Company continuous in innovating its format into three fundamental operating formats, hypermarkets, supermarkets, convenience stores. The current construction of the Jiuxianqiao Shopping Centre with area exceeding 70,000 square metres which is expected to commence business in the last quarter of 2007 signifies the Company active exploration of such new style format of community shopping centre.
