Today, State Oceanic Administration of China published the standard names and geographic coordinates of the Diaoyu Islands.
China’s sovereignty and historical records on Diaoyu Islands can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty. In 1403, the book titled Sail with the Wind clearly marked that Diaoyu Islands were part of Chinese territory. This book can be found in Bodleian Library of UK. In location, Diaoyu Islands are close to the Taiwan Island near the edge of East China Sea.
Following the announcement of the baseline and base points of the Diaoyu Islands by the Chinese government, today’s release will affirm the truth that Diaoyu Islands are part of China.
China’s permanent representative to the United Nations also submitted the baseline announcement of the Diaoyu Islands to the United Nations earlier this week.
