Chaozhou (Teochew) cuisine was originated from Chaozhou, Shantou of Guangdong province. It is famous for its seafood and vegetarian dishes. Chaozhou cuisine attach more attention to the fragrance, freshness, sweetness and light flavor of the dishes while emphasizing more on poaching, steaming, braising and stir-frying in the making. Famous dishes include Teo Chew style duck, Teo Chew style steamed fish, Cold crab, Fishball noodle soup, Crystal balls and their Oolong Tea.
