When talking about the noodles of Beijing, We may utter a word out without any hesitation: Zhajiangmian ( the old Beijing fried sauce noodles). It is true that Zhajiangmian is welcomed and favored by many Beijing locals, but the noodles of Beijing is much more than just Zhajiangmian. Apart from some traditional Zhajiangmian, such as Old Beijing Noodle King, there are large number of noodle restaurants featuring in various styles: Shanxi noodle, Shaanxi noodle, Yunnan noodle, Xingjiang noodle, American noodle and Italian noodle etc. To find a noodle restaurant in Beijing is a much easy thing. You usually don’t bother to go a long way to find a place to order noodles, but walk into a restaurant nearby and ask for the noodles you wanted no matter whether it is a noodle restaurant or not. Most often they may serve nice noodles though they are Sichuan or Dongbei restaurants.
